Box Office Report: Armed and Freakier

Weapons had one of the best marketing campaigns of 2025 so far. It was spooky, mysterious, and didn’t give much away for curious viewers, a rarity in the spoiler age. It paid off marvellously for Warner Bros., as the film took the top spot at this past weekend’s box office race. It earned an impressive $42.5 million from 3,202 locations. Its worldwide gross is already at $70 million, from a reported budget of $38 million. Well done, creepy kids.
Freakier Friday , the legacy sequel to the Disney favourite, starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, opened at number two. It had an impressive debut too, with $29 million from 3,975 cinemas. Nostalgia for millennial women
