A New Jersey lottery player won an over $1.1 million Jersey Cash 5 jackpot on Saturday, Aug. 9. It's the 42nd time the lottery game has been won in 2025 and seventh jackpot to top a million dollars.

The New Jersey Lottery announced that a ticket sold in Sussex County matched the five numbers to win the $1,148,993 jackpot.

The winning ticket was sold at the E&T Food Market on River Styx Road in Hopatcong. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Jersey Cash 5 winning numbers for Aug. 9 were: 10, 17, 24, 31 and 40. The XTRA was 04 and Bulleseye: 31.

An additional 12 lottery players matched four balls, the Bullseye and the XTRA wo win $1,500 each.

The NJ Lottery estimates the next Jersey Cash 5 jackpot at $150,000 for the Aug. 10 drawing.
