Chicago Bears cornerback Terell Smith was forced to leave Sunday’s game vs. the Miami Dolphins due to injury.

Smith, who is battling Tyrique Stevenson for a starting cornerback role with the Bears, came into the game in relief, but was forced to leave with a groin injury.

According to the Bears, Smith is doubtful to return because of the ailment.

Smith had two tackles in the game, and also had a pass defended as he nearly had a pick-six late in the second quarter of the contest.

In his second NFL season last year, Smith had 19 total tackles, with one interception and four passes defended in 14 games played.
