GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The peak of the Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower has come and gone. Prior to the start of the upcoming school year, there is one more chance to view cosmic craziness.

The Perseid Meteor Shower is currently ongoing and will coincide with the August full moon, the Sturgeon Moon which is set to take place on August 9. If you were hoping to view both the full moon and a peak meteor shower, this isn’t quite the moment for it, you’re not far off as far as timing is concerned though! The Sturgeon Moon will peak on August 9 whereas the Perseid Meteor Shower peaks on August 12, just a few days apart from each other.
