HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The family of a pregnant mother killed in a hit-and-run crash is mourning their loss while hoping for justice to be served.

"I consider her my granddaughter," Lilian Cabrera said about Gloria Guevara.

Cabrera spoke with KHOU 11 News reporter Jason Miles while holding Guevara's 3-year-old daughter, who has been asking for her mommy and is not yet fully aware that she won't be coming home.

"She was a very, very, very, very good person," Cabrera said. "She was very excited to have her baby because she lost a baby last year."

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Guevara died around 7:45 p.m. Thursday near Tidwell and C-E King after her Ford Mustang was struck from behind by a white truck, causing her to veer over a raised median and into oncoming traffi
