LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A seasonably warm start to the week is ahead before scattered storms become a bit more likely starting Tuesday.

Monday looks much like a repeat of Sunday, although there could be some morning storms close to the coast or in Cameron Parish. Otherwise, partly cloudy skies will warm temps up into the low/mid 90’s with isolated thunderstorms possible in the mid/late afternoon.

This week we’ll track a disturbance to move westward across the Gulf and bring higher moisture with it. Tropical development is NOT expected but starting Tuesday, we could see a better scattering of showers and thunderstorms. Chances of scattered storms will remain in the forecast the few days after that. Not everyone will see rain on a given day, but we’ll likely need to keep a closer eye on
