SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) -- A semi-truck experiencing mechanical issues rolled downhill into oncoming traffic, blocking two lanes of Interstate 80 in Parleys Canyon.
Just before noon Sunday, the truck was travelling uphill on I-80 East when it began to lose power around milepost 137, according to Cpl. Luis Silva with Utah Highway Patrol.
As the driver pulled over to the shoulder, the vehicle fully lost power, and began rolling backward into oncoming traffic.
The trailer rolled leftward into the roadway, blocking the right two lanes traffic.
Both lanes were closed as crews worked to move the trailer back to the shoulder, but they have since reopened.
No injuries or damages were reported.
