Police searching for occupants of minivan involved in ‘suspicious’ incident in Battle Ground

BATTLE GROUND Wash. (KPTV) - Police are looking to identify the occupants of a minivan involved in a “suspicious” situation earlier this month.

According to the Battle Ground Police Department, the incident occurred about 9:00 p.m. on the night of Saturday, August 2, in the area of the 1300 block of Northeast 12th Avenue.

Following an investigation, police say say a silver van - possibly a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey - pulled up to two youths walking in the area and tried to get them to enter the van.

The license plate number on the van may contain the number “7”.

Police say the van contained two young adult men, believed to be between the ages of 16 and 20.

The youths reported the incident to police, and say that the suspects - who fled the scene in the van - may have been armed d
