Multiple calls were received at 5:38 p.m. about flames and black smoke being visible from a single-family home and a barn on the property, Ottawa Fire Services said in a news release. Article content Article content

Upon arrival at the scene, in the 5000 block of First Line Road, additional resources were called to the location and crews started a “fast attack”, advancing a hose line inside the home.

A water shuttle system was used to bring water to the property because there were no fire hydra
