Doug Goble had a great time at Waterford District High School back in the 1970s but the first couple of months were rather unsettling.
“I entered Grade 9 in 1974 and what I remember most is that it was scary,” Goble said. “It was a big school and you could get lost.

“My elementary school was Townsend Central, a lot smaller school, you couldn’t get lost there.”
Chuckling at the memory Goble said he didn’t become comfortable at the high school until the third year.
“Actually, it only took a couple of months or so,” Goble said. “By that time, I knew where all my classes were and I made some new friends.”
