A Coryell County grand jury indicted a man in July after police said he wielded a gun and endangered a child during a domestic incident earlier this year.
Stephen Phillip Rice, 35, of Copperas Cove is facing a state jail felony charge of endangering a child.
Rice was being held in the Coryell County Jail last week with a bond of $15,000, on the indicted charge. He also is facing charges of deadly conduct, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and assault causing bodily injury, according to the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 8 p.m. on June 25, Rice allegedly approached two women and one of the women’s three children — who are family members of Rice — in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Constitution Court in Cove.
