COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) - Cleveland Guardians No. 1 prospect Travis Bazzana is moving up to the Triple-A Columbus Clippers.
The 2024 MLB Draft first overall pick has played 51 games with the Guardian's Double-A affiliate the Akron Rubber Ducks.
The second baseman has a batting average of .256, driving in 23 runs, and has recorded five home runs this season.
Bazzana ranks as the 12th prospect in all of baseball according to MLB.com
He recently finished up a rehab assignment with the Arizona Complex League for the ACL Guardians after an oblique strain in late May.
Akron plays next against the Reading Fightin Phils at noon on Aug. 12.
