HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- The Huntsville Police Department said a man and woman were found dead in a home on Sunday afternoon.

According to HPD, officers responded to Kennan Road for reports of a dead man and woman in a home around 5:30 p.m.

When they arrived, the department said they found a man and woman with deadly injuries in a bedroom in the home. Investigators with the Major Crimes Unit were also called to the scene.

"The evidence in the case indicates the incident was a murder suicide," HPD said.
