Fire and smoke damaged a home on Plum Hollow Road in East Falmouth on Saturday evening, sending one civilian and two firefighters to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a Falmouth Fire/Rescue Facebook post, the Falmouth Emergency Communication Center received a call for a structure fire at around 8:00 PM. Engine 20 from Hatchville Station 6 arrived to find heavy smoke and flames. Firefighters moved to the rear of the structure, where the heaviest flames were located.

All occupants, including the family’s dogs, escaped the home. Crews conducted an extensive overhaul to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. The fire caused significant damage to the structure.
