ATLANTA — Passengers on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Guatemala City were delayed after the plane made contact with another aircraft while departing the gate on Sunday.

A Delta spokesperson said the 192 passengers on flight DL 1830 were placed on another 757. It departed shortly before 2 p.m., about 3 hours late, according to data on FlightAware.

The other plane, an A350, was empty and did not affect operations.

“The wing of DL 1830 reportedly made contact with another Delta aircraft during pushback at the gate,” Delta said in a statement.

“There are no reports of injuries for crew or customers on the flight. We apologize to our customers for the experience and delay in their travels.”
