SALT LAKE CITY – A motorcyclist was killed after a car crashed into him Saturday night, police said.

At approximately 10:16 p.m., Sgt. Eric Anderson with the South Jordan Police Department said two motorcycles were traveling north on Redwood Road from 10400 South.

A car traveling south reportedly made a left turn into a parking lot and drove into one of the motorcyclists.

Anderson said one of the motorcyclists, a 31-year-old man, was killed and pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation at the time of publication, but police said they do not suspect intoxication was involved.
