LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville metro area has experienced multiple heat waves this summer, and several residents in the Beecher Terrace Apartments have gone through them without air conditioning.
“We try not to be here as much as possible,” said one resident, Jamesha Howard.
Right now, Howard’s apartment is basically unlivable.
She said this all started in mid-July, when she noticed her air conditioning had shut off. After turning the breaker on and off proved unsuccessful, she called her management company, McCormack Baron Salazar’s emergency line.
She was told to go to the building’s office, where someone said the HVAC company would not be there until the next week.
