Officers from the 7th Precinct were called to the park for a report of a possible drowning, according to police.
When they arrived, they found a 44-year-old man partially submerged and unresponsive. Officers immediately began chest compressions, and the man expelled water, police said.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, authorities reported.
The incident happened at Wantagh Park, a popular summer recreation spot in Nassau County.
