The Founding Founders of the United States of America listed several of their goals in the Preamble to the Constitution, which provides a clear statement of what they hoped to achieve. We should absorb and possibly memorize these words:

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America.”

These words should be used to measure every law, policy and action taken by our Congress and presidential administration.
