‘Easier to get out of a marriage than a shareholder agreement’ – lawyer’s view on Irish VC and M&A
‘The most important element in these deals is the relationship between the key investor and the founders,’ says RDJ’s Sarah Slevin
“It is easier to get out of a marriage these days than it is to get out of a shareholder agreement,” according to Sarah Slevin, a solicitor who advises on Irish merger and investment deals.
Ms Slevin is a Dublin-based partner at RDJ, an indigenous firm with roots in Cork and Galway and an expanding commercial practice advising a mix of multinationals, Irish family business owners and start-ups.
