Edinburgh residents have praised fire crews who battled a blaze on Arthur's Seat 'well into the night'.
The flames were first reported at around 4pm on Sunday, August 10. People were seen 'running down the hill' as the blaze 'spread quickly'.
Over 12 hours later, by almost 5am on Monday morning, residents claimed the fires were 'still burning'. It's understood that four pump appliances and specialist resources were mobilised by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
Local resident AJ Stewart told us at around 4.53am: "At the time I’m sending this message, fires are still burning up on Arthur’s Seat and have been all throughout the night.
"It seems as soon as it’s extinguished, another area begins to burn. It’s absolutely devastating to see. Sending my best wishes to all eme
