$3M deals near Wyndham, UR top July home sales

It was another month topped by $3 million deals for the local high-end home market in July, with a house near Wyndham edging out a recently renovated home near the University of Richmond.

Taking the top spot was 5713 Ardington Blvd., an 8,700-square-foot home in Henrico’s gated Henley neighborhood that sold July 10 for $3.06 million in an all-cash deal.

The six-bedroom, 5½-bathroom house was listed June 20 at $2.57 million and was put under contract the next day. Wythe Shockley with The Steele Group | Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing, which she said received multiple offers.

“It’s a retreat. Somewhere where you can really enjoy yourselves, enjoy the pool, enjoy the basement, enjoy your family, play pool, play basketball,” Shockley said.
