New top dogs take over ownership at Ruff Canine Club near Scott's Addition

There are some new paws at the helm of a local dog park bar.

Ruff Canine Club at 1924 Ellen Road is under new ownership. Matthew and Emily Brockman, a married couple who had been members at Ruff, bought the business earlier this month.

Ruff offers a large grass turf area and unlimited tennis balls for dogs, and a bar serving beer, wine and food as well as outdoor seating and events for the dogs’ owners. The venue opened in 2021 on a 1-acre parcel next biotech firm Grenova’s headquarters near The Diamond.

Ruff operates on a membership model, with monthly packages starting at $40 and annual at $355. It also offers day passes for $10.
