Strictly Come Dancing fans are scratching their heads over the rumoured launch date "leak", with reports the new series details are doing the rounds online.

TV Zone has reported that this year's Strictly Come Dancing will kick off a week later than usual, with the show set to launch on September 20.

According to a tweet from the outlet: "FYI - this year's Strictly is a week later than recent series, with the show launching on September 20. Hence, no celebrity reveals just yet.." The publication also expressed its belief that the first live show is scheduled for Saturday, September 27.

In contrast, last year's series began on September 14 with live shows starting on September 21, while in 2023, Strictly commenced on September 16 and the live shows followed on September 23.
