HAYTI — There are likely more than few veteran high school wrestling fans in northeastern South Dakota who'll remember the new head coach of the Hamlin-Castlewood program.

Chad LaQua, a 1992 Watertown High School graduate, is returning home this winter to try to create a spark for the Chargers ' program.

Hamlin School District Athletic Director Todd Neuendorf, a 1990 Watertown High School graduate, announced the hiring this week.

"Hamlin was also really tough when I was in high school, and we hope to bring that kind of excitement for girls and boys into the wrestling mix," LaQua said.

LaQua was a five-year letterwinner for legendary head coach Marv Sherrill and the Watetown Arrows in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
