The high school football season is right around the corner.

The Courier & Press has begun preparations for our 2025 season coverage. First up was our annual players to watch lists and followed by a countdown of the preseason power rankings. But who gets the nod for Courier & Press preseason Player of the Year?

This is where you come in. A reminder this will not impact who the All-Metro or All-Southwestern Indiana teams at the end of the season. It's pure bragging rights. Vote as often as you'd like through Friday at 10 a.m. CT. Here are the 25 nominees with more on each player below the poll:

Grant Boyd, Pike Central: The senior is one of the top returning rushers in the PAC with 1,134 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Max Bueltel, Jasper: The senior, who is moving to the slot, passed for 418
