AKRON, Ohio — Gas prices have dropped in both Akron and Cleveland within the last week.

New data released by GasBuddy early Monday shows Akron’s average is now listed at $2.79 per gallon after going down by a whopping 40.5 cents.

Drivers in Cleveland are paying an average of $3.00 after prices went down 19.1 cents, according to GasBuddy. This puts the city’s prices 8.7 cents lower than a month ago, and 51.1 cents cheaper than a year ago.

The national average, meanwhile, now averages $3.08 after going down 2.7 cents. That’s down 7 cents from a month ago, and 32.3 cents lower than a year ago.
