Reports have emerged concerning the drunken antics of an easyJet pilot last week in Cape Verde . While staying in a luxury hotel in the African nation between flights, he is said to have got drunk and walked around the facility in a state of undress in the early hours of the morning, resulting in his suspension pending an investigation.
Airlines understandably take such behavior very seriously, with pilots naturally forbidden to be at the controls of an aircraft while under the influence of alcohol, as well as facing drug tests. Despite the severe nature of the incident, and the potential reputational damage caused, it is not the first time that a member of an airline's flight crew has got themselves into hot water due to overindulging.
