SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Two crashes have been reported on Interstate 85 as back-to-school traffic returns early Monday morning in Spartanburg County.
According to the SC Department of Transportation, both crashes occurred in the southbound lanes, and traffic is backed up for about three miles.
One crash was reported near mile marker 81, with two right lanes closed, while the other occurred at mile marker 84 with the left lane closed.
Officials said rain is also impacting speeds on the interstate Monday morning. Drivers are encouraged to drive with caution during their commute.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
