Police in Calhoun County are seeking arrests warrants for seven people on multiple felony counts after breaking up what they say was a "large-scale, high-end auto and parts theft operation" that spanned multiple communities.

The multi-jurisdictional investigation, led by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the recovery of stolen vehicles and property valued at approximately $200,000, with arrests pending, the sheriff's office said.

Officers conducted searches at two homes, and recovered stolen property at sites across Parma, Sheridan and Marengo townships in Calhoun County, as well as Springport Township in Jackson County, the sheriff's office said in an Aug. 10 press release.
