The UK is bracing for its fourth heatwave of 2025, with the mercury expected to hit the mid-30s.
Weather in more than 200 towns and cities across the country are said to be meeting heatwave conditions today (Monday, August 11).
Some parts are forecast to see highs reaching the mid-30s as we progress through the week.
A heatwave happens when thresholds for an area are met or exceeded for three consecutive days.
The Met Office expects it can officially declare the UK is in a heatwave this week.
It is predicting that heatwave thresholds will be met for 'much of southern and central England' by Wednesday, August 13.
