(Gray News) - Thousands of heated socks have been recalled after consumers have reported being burned and getting blisters.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall affects 45,000 pairs of merino wool heated socks made by Fieldsheer. The socks come with two lithium-ion battery packs.

Wearing the socks during high-intensity activity can generate heat, friction, moisture and pressure that, in combination, poses an injury hazard.

The CPSC said there have been at least 11 reports of pain and discomfort, four of which led to burns and blisters.

The socks were sold at several store chains nationwide and online from August 2021 through June 2025.

Consumers should stop wearing the socks and contact the company for a full refund or a replacement pair.
