BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Bryan Elks Lodge 859 held a back-to-school celebration Sunday with free haircuts and styles, backpacks, school supplies, snacks, and drinks for local families.

“We’re here today to welcome these children in and help them with their school supplies,” said Rebecca Martinez with the Elks Lodge. “It is a costly event for many of the families, but it is to assist them in helping to do better in class.”

Boardwalk Salon and Spa gave free haircuts. Sanchez Plumbing and Valor Insurance donated school supplies. Lodge members also contributed.
