A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed outside a shop in Moss Side .

Emergency services attended Princess Road following an incident outside Richie and Nickie Liquor Store, near the junction with Alison Street, on Sunday night (August 11).

Greater Manchester Police was called out to the scene at around 10.20pm.

Witnesses told the Manchester Evening News a large number of people had gathered in the area on Sunday evening, following a weekend of celebration in Moss Side, where the annual Caribbean Carnival had taken place .

Video footage, seen by the M.E.N., showed a crowd close to the scene as police arrived - with officers speaking to several people in the street.
