A woman has been charged with assault after an incident outside the University of Plymouth. Emergency services rushed to Cobourg Street at around 8pm on Friday, August 8, to reports that there were concerns for the welfare of a woman.
The woman was reported to be on a building by the University of Plymouth. The road was closed while police officers attended.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said that Maddison Louw, 50, has been charged with assault and using threatening/ abusive words or language likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
She has been released on bail ahead of a scheduled hearing at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 26.
Devon and Cornawll Police said: "Maddison Louw, 50, of Constantine Street, Plymouth, has been charged with assault and u
