PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- For decades, brothers-in-law Lucian Solomon and Daniel Varvaruc planned to one day open their own business.

After a nearby similar business recently closed its doors, the Parma Heights residents saw an opportunity.

They recently made good on that dream with the opening of Taste of Transylvania, which is located at 6275 Pearl Road.

“It’s a shopping grocery store with European products, especially from Romania,” Solomon said. “The responses so far have been very good. They like everything.

“My message for everybody is to come here and taste our products. We make everything here, the meat, we make sausage -- everything.”

After eight months of planning, the Greenbrier Commons Plaza location opened its doors in mid-July.
