Firefighters spread out in the north end of Marmora and Lake municipality assisted by up to four water bombers beginning Sunday to quash a wildfire that by latest count is consuming 12.9 hectares of forest, according to authorities.
The fire zone is located south of Coe Hill in Hastings County.
The Municipality of Marmora and Lake said in a statement that it “has been advised by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) that wildfire HALO018, located on Crown Land in the northern area of our municipality, is actively burning. MNRF has four crews on the ground with water bombers in the area.”
