MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) - Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after being publicly intoxicated at a store.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar on Saturday night in reference to a check subjects welfare report.
Officers say they received multiple complaints about a man, later identified as Nathanael McCarty, was bothering customers coming in and out of the store.
When police spoke with McCarty, they say none of his sentences made sense and he could not keep a straight train of thought.
He was arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail and charged with Public Intoxication Involving a Controlled Substance.
