CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A jury found a 34-year-old Cleveland man guilty of killing one woman and seriously injuring her sister while driving under the influence.

Trial for Juan Soto began Tuesday, August 5 in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Soto was found guilty on all charges, including aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs for the April 2024 crash on the city’s West side.

Cleveland Police said Soto crashed into another car at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Fulton Road.

The impact of the crash pushed the vehicles into a nearby Rally’s restaurant, catching it on fire.

Gilmarie Quinones died from her injuries.
