THE Indiana Fever have been forced into a drastic measure to address their injury crisis.
The WNBA team has been decimated with the latest setbacks coming last week.
They lost both Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald to season-ending injuries.
Indiana is still dealing with Caitlin Clark being out with a groin injury.
The Fever only had nine players available for a game against the Chicago Sky.
Under WNBA rules, teams can sign a hardship player if they fall below ten active players.
But according to ESPN's Alexa Philippou, they were only able to sign another player after the Sky game.
And the Indiana Fever moved to sign veteran guard Odyssey Sims Sunday on a hardship contract.
