Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) does agree with the fact that the American people are seeing higher prices, and that it’s a result of President Trump’s tariffs.
But he told the “FOX Report with Jon Scott” in a Saturday interview that this upheaval is only short-term and, in the end, “for the good of the country,” according to a story on The Hill website .
“I think a lot of people are seeing higher prices. Our family’s in the construction business, and we get a lot of our timber from Canada and other countries. Yes, it’s higher. Steel prices are up, but it’s for the good of the country,” Norman said.
Fox’s July poll showed that 55 percent of Americans disapproved of the president’s handling of the economy.
