GIBSON CITY, Ill. (WTVO) — Authorities in Central Illinois are searching for 70-year-old David Jordan, who allegedly shot two law enforcement officers early Saturday in Gibson City.
Police were responding to reports of a naked man walking in the 100 block of Ash Street.
Shortly after the shooting, Jordan's house caught fire and burned to the ground. Firefighters were called to the scene, but the house was completely destroyed.
Jordan was last seen at his house before the fire. Authorities have warned that he is considered armed and dangerous.
Jordan may be riding a red bicycle, according to the latest information from authorities.
Both the Gibson City officer and a Ford County deputy are expected to recover from their injuries.
