Heatstroke advice has been issued by West Midlands Ambulance Service ahead of soaring temperatures - and it includes checking your skin. The Met Office has forecast 33C heat is set to scorch Coventry and Warwickshire tomorrow (August 12).

It will see what is currently a yellow heat alert upgraded to 'amber' by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) by 9am tomorrow morning and it will remain in place until 6pm.

This warns that the high temperatures could not only impact NHS services but could lead to a a rise in deaths, particularly among those ages 65 and over or with health conditions.

To help people stay well, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has issued advice in regards to heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
