The Michigan football program makes it a goal to lock in one elite quarterback per recruiting cycle and has found its target for the rising junior class.

Peter Bourque, a four-star quarterback from Marion, Massachusetts (Tabor Academy) pledged to join the Wolverines on Monday, Aug. 8, according to his social media profile.

This makes four consecutive classes with U-M landing a top-160 quarterback, with Jadyn Davis (No. 112, 2024), Bryce Underwood (No. 1, 2025), Brady Smigiel , (No. 157, 2026) and now Bourque, who is rated the No. 1 player in the state of Massachusetts, the No. 6 quarterback in the nation and No. 75 player in the class of 2027, regardless of position, per 247Sports composite rankings.
