The family of a 73-year-old grandmother who died after being struck by a bus in Carlisle city centre have paid tribute to the 'kindest person'.
Ann Weymouth, from Carlisle, died in the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle on 10 August 2025, after being airlifted from the scene last Friday morning.
Cumbria Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, which involved a bus and a pedestrian at the bus station on Lonsdale Street. Paying tribute to Ann, her family said: ' 'Ann was the kindest, most caring person we knew, and she was taken away far too soon. "Ann was a loving mother to Joanne and Keith, loving Nan to Ashley, Callum, Connor, Oscar, Toby, and Daniel. "Ann was a loving sibling to Robert, Susan, John and George. She'll be forever helping others."
