CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Court TV) — An Iowa man accused in the murder of his lover’s husband changed his plea before the start of his trial.

Huston Danker was charged with first-degree murder for “acting in concert” with Karina Cooper to kill Ryan Cooper. Danker was set to go to trial Tuesday; however, he pleaded guilty moments before jury selection began.

Last month, Karina was convicted of first-degree murder. According to testimony during Karina’s trial, Ryan was found with two gunshot wounds to his face in their Traer home on June 18, 2021.
