NEWAYGO COUNTY, MI – Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that killed an 83-year-old man.

The crash happened on Saturday, Aug. 9, near 88th Street and Tulip Avenue in Brooks Township.

Police said the 83-year-old Newaygo man was driving a golf cart-style mini-Jeep when he pulled into the path of a pickup truck traveling west on 88th Street.

The Newaygo man, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck and passengers were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
