Spring Hill Woman Dies After Being Hit by Car in an Attempt to Help an Injured Animal

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A fatal collision occurred on Hexam Road Sunday night, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old Spring Hill woman. The incident, detailed in a Florida Highway Patrol report, took place at approximately 9:54 PM on August 10, just east of Eskimo Curlew Road.

According to the report, a Toyota Camry, driven by a 31-year-old Spring Hill man, had stopped on the road.

A passenger from the Camry, a 27-year-old woman, exited the vehicle and was subsequently struck by a Chrysler 300. The Chrysler was driven by a 19-year-old man from Weeki Wachee. The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
