GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Tropical Storm Erin has formed in the far Eastern Atlantic. It is expected to become the first hurricane of the 2025 season.
The system gradually strengthens over the next couple of days before entering into an area with less dry air and warmer waters to help fuel it. By Wednesday, Erin is expected to become a hurricane and then continue to strengthen to a major category 3 hurricane over the weekend.
