Only minor tweaks are expected as the NJSIAA enters the second season of a two-year classification cycle in football.

The same classifications used for the 2024 season -- with few exceptions -- should be used for 2025.

One of those tweaks will be adding the recently merged Jackson Township High School to South, Group 5.

Gridironnewjersey.com, the official power points calculators for the NJSIAA, has listed Jackson Township in the southern portion of Group 5.

Jackson Memorial and Jackson Liberty will play as Jackson Township for the first time this fall. School officials said the combined enrollment will be in the vicinity of 2,300 students, making Jackson the largest school in the Shore Conference.
